Storyboarding — Previsulisation in Unity
In this quick article I will disucss storyboarding in Unity.
In games storyboarding is a tool used to save significant time and resources. A director can portray their intentions for how they want a cut scene or game event to run with a simple scetch of key points in the timeline.
This gives the game maker direction in how to create and compose the shots, meaning time is not wasted by continally creating and editing animation clips that are not required or not to the directors wishes.
Previsulisation can be as simple as a rough scetch on a piece of paper.
As you can see above, with 3 key frames scetched, we now have the camera angle, clip lentgh and shots mapped out with very little effort.
Thats all for now.
